• State Accreditation

The Texas Education Agency awards an accreditation status to each public school district and charter school. The accreditation status is based on the academic accountability rating and financial ratings from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. A district or charter must be accredited by the state to operate as a public school.

Four levels of accreditation status may be assigned by the commissioner of education: Accredited, Accredited-Warned, Accredited-Probation, and Not Accredited-Revoked.  Definitions of the various statuses are outlined in Texas Administrative Code §97.1055

Additional information about accreditation status for all districts in the state of Texas can be found on TEA website.
